台灣駐瑞士大使劉邦治大使夫婦受邀參加”1001 Night” International Gala Event國際盛會， 並親切問候台灣學生近況。
HTMi瑞士飯店管理大學的Event Management管理一直是居於飯店學校領導地位。
學生一學期有40次舉辦宴會的實際練習機會，所以學生個個都有高水準舉辦國際盛會的專業技能。

致以誠摯的問候Sörenberg。我希望這封電子郵件發現你倆好。我想讓你知道，台灣駐瑞士大使閣下劉邦治大使和他的妻子葉鳳飛女士上週五再次參加我們的國際盛會。他對我們學校印象非常深刻，學生很喜歡在這裡享受留學生活。
台灣大使館要求我們安排一個台灣學生吃飯時坐在他和他的妻子一起，我很樂意榮幸安排安吉拉Angela我們學士學位的學生和他們一起。
台灣大使要求見台灣學生及 照相, 我附上參與盛會的一些台灣學生與大使照相，我不能讓所有的學生來照相因為大家都在忙盛會一些工作。
本次活動的主題是“1001夜”，我們的學生通過古老的阿拉伯把我們的客人置身在一個神奇的旅程。本次活動是一個令人難以置信的成功。
安迪Andy做了一個驚人的表現在當晚演奏在學校的樂隊和演唱的歌曲，從20世紀60年代。

Greetings from Sörenberg. I hope this email finds you both well. I wanted to let you know that His Excellency Ambassador Liu Bang-Zyh Ambassador of the Taiwanese Embassy in Switzerland and his wife Ms. Yeh Fung-Fei attended again our International Gala Event last Friday. He was again very impressed with our school, students and really enjoyed himself. The embassy requested that I have a Taiwanese student sit with him and his wife during the dinner, and I was happy to give Angela our BSc student the honour.
I am attaching some pictures taken with the Ambassador and also together with some of the Taiwanese students as he asked to meet him. I could not get all the students as some were busy working. The theme of the event was “1001 Nights”, where our students took our guests on a magical journey through ancient Arabia. The event was an incredible success.
Andy did an amazing performance on the night playing in the school band and singing songs from the 1960s.
I hope you enjoy the pictures and send you both my best wishes and all the best for a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in 2015.

Congratulations to Sara Toth – Diploma Course Spring 2014

HTMi would like to say congratulations to Sara for her achievements and progression in her career. Sarah has started as an F&B Trainee in Wellnesshotel Rischli Soerenberg, and after completion of her diploma course, Sara was accepted as an F&B trainee at Dukes Hotel in London.

Now Sara is about to start her new internship as an F&B trainee at the famous Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman Islands.

We wish Sara a great and successful internship!

多項最佳考試成績。

 

HTMi has a long tradition of top academic results at all levels from our students with the excellent support of our teaching and training team .
This semester  the level has gone from ‘excellent’ to ‘outstanding’ with a record number of first class honours 2.1 and 2.2 grades from our BSc University of Ulster Degree students.In the words of Prof Ingram, External Examiner for UU Degree at HTMi “best it’s ever been  at HTMI”. This lays the foundation for a memorable upcoming  graduation in December 2014 .  Congratulations to everyone.

The countdown has started to the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Game’s
The Centre for Events Management Training Switzerland has been off to a busy start. Recently, Mr Ant hony Lack, the Events & Training Manager at HTMi visited Sochi, Russia, the venue of 2014 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. The purpose of the visit was to meet the senior members of the Sochi Olympic Organising Committee to discuss the organisation of 2014 Winter Olympic Games.

Mega sport events such as the Olympic Games require different parties’ effort and expertise working harmoniously to create perfect synergies in order to achieve its high expectations. The 2014 Olympic Games is no exception, it relies heavily on the local community’s cooperation as well as the tremendous amount of thousands of enthusiastic volunteers. There will be many volunteers from around the world who are eager to be apart of this historic event, looking to experience the organisation of the world’s biggest sporting event, this event is aiding the personal developments of many young students.

HTMi, has seen the importance of its students learning and personal development and have been actively involved in many of the world’s biggest events, such as the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, The 2012 London Olympic Games, the Tour de Suisse 2012.

We at HTMi are very proud to announce our involvement with the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi and to be the chosen institute in Switzerland, by sending many of our excellent students to volunteer during the games. Our students will be exposed to many of the world’s greatest athletes by working in the VIP lounges, the Olympic Family Hotels, with the international media, and lastly working closely with many of the senior members of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the National Olympic Committees (NOC). We sincerely believe such an opportunity will not only give our students a fantastic learning experience but we are confident that our students will contribute tremendously to the event’s success.

Within days the world will be watching the opening ceremony of the 2014 Winter Olympic Game at Sochi, Russia, especially for a special few who have been working behind the scene for the past few years getting the event ready for the world stage.

台灣學生 Jerry He 獲瑞士米其淋餐廳實習機會

恭禧！台灣學生 Mr. Jerry He 被瑞士知名米其淋星級餐廳(The Restaurant Les Trois Couronnes)錄取實習機會。Jerry 在瑞士 HTMi 從 2013年1月起就讀一年烘焙與點心課程（Baking and Pastry course）至2014年1月；其中6個月在瑞士知名的米其林星級餐廳（The Restaurant Les Trois Couronnes）支薪實習。恭禧 Jerry優異的表現。

News from Switzerland. Jerry He completed Baking and Pastry course last spring semester and now he works in Restaurant Les Trois Couronnes (Vevey) as kitchen trainee. Popa Dan (Diploma) did an excellent job before Jerry, that is why the company hired another internship student from HTMi. Work hard, be excellent that is how you can open doors for others and make everybody be proud of You.

The Restaurant Les Trois Couronnes has been awarded it’s first star in the Swiss guide Michelin 2013. Jerry has opportunity to work with a Michelin star chef, chef Lionel Rodriguez. And we are sure that this experience is going to help him with his further career.

就業中心新聞 – 經理培訓課程

HTMi飯店管理大學所提供的服務中，包含了學生的禮儀的培養、專業態度及領導技巧的訓導。每學期很多學生積極報名參加我們的經理培訓課程，並獲得飯店管理大學所頒發的證書。HTMi學生正面的專業態度及行爲舉止讓大多數到校參訪的雇者留下良好的評價，兩位從MIT經理培訓課程畢業後成功被錄取的學生為凱麗安小姐(Ms. Karian 如圖)及周迪諾先生(Mr. Dino Chou如圖)。

One of the many services provided by the HTMi Hotel School Career Centre is to help develop students grooming, professional behavior, and leadership skills. Each semester some students successfully apply to and are selected to join our Manager in Training program and receive a Diploma in Training for Trainers in Hotel Management. Many employers that visit HTMi comment on the very positive professional attitude and behavior of HTMi students and they also highly praise the HTMi Hotel School MIT program. Two recent Career Centre successes in placing students from the MIT program are :

林. 凱麗安小姐即將於Zürich 著名的Savoy Baur en Ville飯店工作。此飯店成立於1838年，自今仍舊受大衆愛戴，並以其兩家卓越的餐廳，優良的服務及傳統文化為名。凱麗安小姐將會在餐飲管理部門幫客人處理餐廳的事務及餐宴的事務。

Ms Karian ( pictured) will be starting to work for the renowned Savoy Baur en Ville Hotel in Zürich.
Opened in 1838 it is still one of the first locations in Zurich, loved by the guests for its two outstanding restaurants, excellent service and tradition. Karian will be working in the F&B department taking care of guest service in the restaurants as well as in banqueting. (http://www.savoy-baurenville.ch/)

周. 迪諾先生即將於7月在杜拜Hyatt集團的Grand Hyatt任職客務中心主任。杜拜的Grand Hyatt飯店擁坐於37畝的絢麗花園中，並提供了674間豪華套房，且有多間餐廳可選擇，亦有完善設備的會議廳。迪諾先生將會負責接待日益趨增的華裔客人。
Mr. Dino Chou ( Pictured) will be joining the Hyatt family in July working as a Guest Relations Officer at the Grand Hyatt Dubai. The Grand Hyatt Dubai Hotel Towers placed within 37 acres of beautiful gardens offers 674 luxury rooms and suites as well as numerous F&B outlets and state of the art conference facilities. Dino will be especially taking care of the increasing number of Chinese guests of the hotel.
