César Ritz Colleges Switzerland unveils new culinary centre in Lucerne

18 May 2017

Inauguration ceremony was marked in the presence of two renowned chefs – Anton Mosimann OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) and Chumpol Jangprai, one of Thailand’s leading chef and director of the MSC Thai Cuisine Academy.

With an investment totalling CHF 2.7 million, the new culinary facility, located in the former Limelight building features state-of-the-art facilities including two new kitchens for pastry and chocolate, a tailor-made application and product development kitchen and two training rooms.

Our existing facilities on campus were no longer sufficient to cater to the strong demand for pastry and chocolate courses. We’re delighted that the new centre will enable us to provide additional students with the necessary tools and training they need as they prepare for their careers,
commented Arlette Pfeiffer, Director of César Ritz Colleges Switzerland.

Designed to replicate a show kitchen, pedestrians walking by the building will also be able to peek into the kitchens and gain insight into the world of culinary arts.

Switzerland enjoys a world-wide reputation for its chocolate and Lucerne is a primary tourist destination. Together, both parameters strengthen the branding for popular courses in pastry, chocolate and culinary arts,
explains Florent Rondez, CEO of Swiss Education Group.
